New Jersey Geography for Elementary and Middle School Students

December 10, 2016 - 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Duke Farms

Hillsborough NJ

Cost:  $25.00 per educator

Join the New Jersey Geographic Alliance for a workshop and hands-on activities that focus on the physical and human geography of our home state. Our work will be specifically geared towards 4th grade standards but can easily be scaled up or down for different grade levels.

Special emphasis will be placed on the newly released Jersey-specific version of National Geographic’s Giant Traveling Map!  Teachers will experience the 16x20ft floor map and learn how to reserve the map for a visit to their school! Traveling maps bring hands-on and feet-on geographic education to hundreds of thousands students around the country each year.
