Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Municipal and School Fleets

Is an electric vehicle the right fit for your fleet? New funding options and fleet analysis tools have made finding a cost-effective solution for reducing the carbon footprint of municipal and school fleets easier.
Join Sustainable Jersey to hear about electric vehicle funding options and learn from municipalities that have successfully reduced the carbon footprint of their fleets. We will discuss fleet analysis methods that show which vehicles can be retired or replaced with electric alternatives to achieve cost-effective results. These analysis tools include telematics (electric vehicle monitors that generate fleet usage reports and can include route optimization) and the online fleet analysis tool Dashboard for Rapid Vehicle Electrification from Atlas Public Policy.
We will also be learning about options for medium and heavy-duty electric vehicles, including information about the NJ Economic Development Authority’s NJ ZIP Program. Points are available in the Sustainable Jersey certification program for adding electric vehicles to your municipal and school fleets.
