Funding for technical assistance provided by New Jersey Natural Gas

Today, Sustainable Jersey announced an energy technical assistance program for municipalities and school districts located in the New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) service territory. Applicants will be accepted on a rolling basis beginning in May 2023. Municipalities and school districts in municipalities served by NJNG are encouraged to apply for the Sustainable Jersey Energy Technical Assistance Program.

Sustainable Jersey energy staff will work with the selected municipalities and school districts to identify and apply for available incentives for energy efficiency audits and facility upgrades from NJNG’s SAVEGREEN Project and New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program.

With financial support from NJNG this technical assistance is offered at no cost to eligible municipalities and school districts. “Increasing energy efficiency is an important part of the climate goals of New Jersey Natural Gas, and municipalities and school districts have an important role to play,” said Anne-Marie Peracchio, managing director of Marketing and Energy Efficiency for New Jersey Natural Gas. “We’re excited to be able to bring the benefits of this technical assistance program to towns and schools in our service territory. The in-depth guidance and insights will lead to energy efficiency solutions that can help reduce usage, lower costs and help curb greenhouse gas emissions for all our customers.”

“We want to connect New Jersey municipalities and school districts with the available incentives that will help make their buildings more energy efficient,” said Randall Solomon, director of Sustainable Jersey. “Energy efficiency audits and facility upgrades will help them save money and energy and make their buildings more comfortable and healthier.”
