Sustainable Jersey Grants Program Cycle

The PSEG Foundation is contributing $100,000 to support another cycle of the Sustainable Jersey Grants Program. With this contribution, the PSEG Foundation has provided over $4.3 million in funding to support local sustainability initiatives in municipalities and schools across New Jersey. The Foundation's ongoing support demonstrates how public-private partnerships can encourage grassroots efforts to improve the quality of life in New Jersey communities.

Online Grant Application

The online grant application consists of two required stages, each with a separate deadline:

• Stage 1 – Grant Proposal: Monday, March 8, 2027, at 11:59 p.m.
• Stage 2 – Grant Authorization and Fiscal Details: Monday, April 12, 2027, at 11:59 p.m.

Both stages must be submitted for an application to be considered for funding. Applicants are encouraged to begin coordinating grant authorization and fiscal requirements early, as obtaining necessary approvals may take additional time.

Applicants should retain their login credentials to access the portal and complete grant reporting requirements if awarded funding.

Applicant Eligibility Requirements

Eligible applicants must be New Jersey public schools or school districts currently participating in the Sustainable Jersey for Schools program and have an appointed green team that meets the requirements of the Green Team action.

Applicants that have previously received Sustainable Jersey grants may be subject to additional eligibility requirements.

Available Grants

The 2026–2027 funding cycle will award grants at two funding levels:

• $10,000 Project Grants: Support larger sustainability projects at individual schools or district-wide projects benefiting multiple schools.

• $2,000 Project or Green Team Support Grants: Support sustainability projects or general green team activities at individual schools.

The number of grants awarded at each funding level will depend on the quality and quantity of applications received, with an emphasis on awarding more $2,000 grants than $10,000 grants.

Eligible individual schools are encouraged to consider applying for both funding levels to maximize their chances of receiving support. However, only one grant may be awarded to an applicant during this funding cycle.
